They鈥檙e creating a safe space for kids to go and have fun at no cost to the kids. And to give them an option that doesn鈥檛 involve joining gangs, which is a problem in any low income area.

I work with one of the directors of this project, and he鈥檚 told me that skateboarding kept him out of trouble when he was a kid. Their group (Manitoba Skateboarding Coalition – Pitikwe Skatepark) wants to give todays youth that same opportunity!
